Research Field
Optical properties of matter, Opto-spintronics
Through the interaction between light and matter, we aim to elucidate and control novel physical properties woven by various degrees of freedom such as spin, charge, orbital, and lattice. In particular, we are working on the creation of next-generation opto-spintronic functions and quantum functional materials through the artificial manipulation of symmetry at the nanoscale, and the development of techniques for detecting and controlling material functions utilizing nonlinear optics and magneto-optics.
